About the Natural Language Processing Lab

The Laboratory of Natural Language Processing ( NLP) was established in 2006 in Shahid Beheshti University under the supervision of Dr. Mehrnoush Shamsfard. Most activities in the laboratory are classified into two main areas: natural language processing ( especially for Persisn) and ontology engineering. The laboratory members and collaborators mainly include students and graduates of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in Shahid Beheshti University and also linguistics students in Tehran university and Allameh Tabatabai University who collaborate in research projects with this lab. Currently, about 35 active members of the lab are doing a doctorate, a master's or a bachelor's degree or are graduates who collaborate with the lab on research or industrial projects.
